What is the Difference Between Assault and Aggravated Assault?
The legal definition of Assault is an "intentional, unlawful threat by word or act to do violence to the person of another," provided that the perpetrator has the apparent ability to carry out the act and does something which places the victim in fear of an impending attack. What are the Penalties for Assault in FLorida?
Assault is charged as either a misdemeanor or a felony in our state, and depending on what level of offense you are accused of committing, you face time in either jail or prison.
